Project participation requires a detailed knowledge of documentation processes either within wind turbine manufacturers and operators/energy companies, or detailed knowledge of the standards that are discussed and processed and upon which the TIM Wind guidelines will be based. 

TIM Wind is a joint industry project, and participation requires in-kind participation by experts who have been invited to participate in the process, as they have unique knowledge that can benefit the outputs.

Interested in joining TIM Wind?

TIM Wind is a global standardization initiative established for the benefit of the wind industry. To ensure effective collaboration and maintain the integrity of the work, participation is subject to a defined set of requirements.

The following types of companies may join TIM Wind:
• OEMs
• Operators
• Component or system suppliers to operators/OEMs

In addition, participation is subject to the following requirements:
• Potential participants have to comply with the TIM Wind scope and support the philosophy of TIM Wind. 
• Organizations and companies in the wind power business - primarily developers, wind turbine manufacturers, and their component or system suppliers. 
• Companies from countries with EU sanctions cannot participate.  
• Companies must accept the confidentiality rules within TIM Wind and comply with the TIM Wind rules for intellectual property. 
• All work stream participants deliver in-kind participation and are not paid for their contribution. 
• No patent applications will be filed based upon TIM Wind work or discussions. 

If your company meets these requirements, you may apply to join TIM Wind by contacting the Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for receiving applications and ensuring that they are handled correctly, but does not decide which companies can join TIM Wind. Applications are reviewed by the Steering Committee.

Applications should be sent to the Project Manager, Michael Langlo Nielsen from Energy Cluster Denmark, at mln@energycluster.dk. The application should include sufficient information for the Steering Committee to assess whether the requirements are met, including but not limited to:

• Company name
• Name of participants
• Reason for joining
• Relation to the project

I do not fulfill the requirements - can I still contribute?

If you do not meet the requirements for formal participation in TIM Wind, you may still contribute by providing input or feedback to the guidelines.

If you have purchased the guidelines, have relevant experience, or believe that important perspectives are missing, you are welcome to contact the Project Manager directly or submit your input through the “Contact us” form.

Feedback related to an ongoing workstream will be reviewed by the relevant workstream and may be considered as part of the further development of the guideline.

Feedback related to a completed guideline will be forwarded to the relevant Knowledge Sharing Team. The team will assess whether the input should lead to further action, such as a revision of the guideline, an appendix, or other relevant updates.
