The ambition of TIM Wind is to create a clear and unambiguous interpretation of the existing standards and to develop new standards that can be applied in the wind industry. Upon completion, the guidelines created in the TIM Wind workstreams will be open source and available to the global wind sector.

Document kind Classification Codes (DCC) for the wind industry

The aim of the Guideline: Document Kind Classification Codes (DCC) is to ensure a common understanding and consistent interpretation of IEC 61355-1: Classification and designation of documents for plants, systems, and equipment for the wind industry. The guideline explains how to apply the classification codes defined in IEC 61355-1.

Reference Designation Standards for Wind Power Systems – Wind Turbine Generator (RDS for WTG)

The aim of the Guideline: Reference Designation Standards for Wind Power Systems – Wind Turbine Generator (RDS for WTG) is to establish a common understanding and alignment in the use of reference designation standards within the wind power sector. The guideline includes a functional, location, and product-based breakdown of the wind turbine.

Content Requirements for Customer Information

The aim of the Guideline: Content Requirements for Customer Information is to specify the information that the OEM must provide to the customer. It serves as a published reference for the required content to be communicated between the OEM and the customer.

Standardized Data Flows (APIs)

The aim of the Guideline: Standardized Data Flows (APIs) is to define best practices for transferring machine-readable data from turbine manufacturers to their customers. It outlines a customer journey focused on efficient data and information exchange between manufacturers and developers or utilities.

Reference Designation Standards for Wind Power Systems - Balance of Plant (RDS for Foundations)

The aim of the Guideline: Reference Designation Standards for Wind Power Systems - Balance of Plant (RDS for Foundations) is to align Reference Designation Standards for the Balance of Plants in Wind Power Systems. It builds on the results already created for RDS for WTG.
